Presentation

The Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism at UMH offers a dynamic and rigorous training program closely connected to professional practice, as evidenced by its position in the top five Journalism degrees in Spain (U-Ranking, 2025). Students receive practical training in facilities equipped with computer labs, a television studio, and radio studios.

At Periodismo UMH, we prioritize national and international mobility. Each year, around 80 places are offered across national and international destinations. Among the foreign universities that have agreements with the Journalism Degree are institutions in Germany, France, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Turkey, Portugal, Mexico, and the United States.

In coordination with the Occupational Observatory, professional internships are offered with media outlets and organizations in the region. In addition, UMH Journalism students have priority to collaborate and learn at Radio UMH and the Communication Office.

Other notable training activities held annually:

International Journalism Conference: This event brings together renowned professionals to talk informally with students about the challenges of the profession.
Sports Journalism Course: A seminar with practical classes taught by professionals in the sector.
Local Data Lab Seminar: A hands-on workshop on local data journalism.
