Two poets with future
To mark the birth of the poet Gabriel Celaya (Hernani, 1911) and Miguel recent Hernándes (Orihuela, 1910), the Inter-University Seminar organized this tribute to the two most significant poets of the Generation of 36 social and Spanish poetry .
This seminar has had several scenarios in the various universities in the area. Thus, on November 10 began at the University of Alicante. Subsequently, the cycle of confererncias moved on Tuesday 15 and the Miguel Hernández University, where Professor José Luis Ferris Literature gave a lecture titled “The Generation of 36, a truncated Generation”. Along with Ferris, was the president of the Association of Friends of Miguel Hernandez and director of the Chair that bears the name of the poet orionalo, who took charge of the paper “Hernandez and Celaya, two poets and one voice”
So much for Miguel Hernandez to Gabriel Celaya, poetry is an instrument for the defense of just causes sound to give the voiceless. Thus, for Celaya “Poetry is a weapon loaded with future” while for Hernandez “in the war poetry wielded as a weapon.”
