9th Corporate Communication

The 9th International Journalism Conference UMH, titled “Corporate Communication: Another Way of Practicing Journalism,” will take place on March 25 and 26 in the Aula Magna of the Altabix Building. The event is organized by the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) and the Department of Social and Human Sciences with the aim of discussing the communication management of companies, institutions, and organizations—a responsibility that often falls on journalism professionals.

The conference will feature experts such as Pilar Domingo (President of Dircom Comunidad Valenciana y Murcia), Lorena Escandell (Head of Communication at ADELA-CV), Maribel Hernández (Amnesty International), Roberto Rodríguez (Communications Director at Grupo Amma), Bárbara Yuste (Communications Director at the Spanish Association of Digital Economy), Jordi Román (Communications Director at the Spanish Basketball Federation), and Javier Fernández del Mora, Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, among others.

This edition will be directed by Alicia de Lara González and Fernando Olabe Sánchez, professors and experts in Advertising and Corporate Communication. UMH Journalism professors José Luis González, José Luis Ferris, Isabel González Mesa, Sergio Martínez Mahugo, and José Alberto García Avilés will also participate and collaborate in the event.

As every year, during the conference (Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.), the 6th Ricardo Ortega Journalistic Report Award will be presented. Participants will also be able to engage via Twitter using the hashtag #jpumh, which has become a national trending topic in previous editions.
