Occupational Observatory
FORMALIZING AN INTERNSHIP
Once you have contacted the company to agree on the conditions of your internship and a faculty member from your degree program to act as your academic tutor, you must prepare the internship documents.
You can also consult the instructions for formalizing internships.
Remember:
- Print 3 copies of your internship annex and 2 copies of the collaboration agreement (if the company does not already have one).
- Submit them to the Occupational Observatory for processing, signed and stamped by the company and signed by yourself.
IMPORTANT:
- Only original documents are accepted; scanned copies are not valid.
- Documentation must be submitted to the Occupational Observatory before your internship begins.
- Submission can be done via internal mail through any UMH campus concierge (Elche, Sant Joan d’Alacant, Orihuela, or Altea), in person at the Occupational Observatory, or by postal mail, preferably certified.
If your internship is paid and you are receiving unemployment benefits, you must contact SEPE before starting the internship to regularize your situation.
You should also be aware of tax and fiscal obligations related to paid internships according to current legislation. For more information, click here.
