Journalism Students Visit the Provincial Court of Elche

First-year Journalism students shared the classroom with students from Escuela Viva, a primary and preschool educational center.

Faculty from both institutions organized a joint learning session where older and younger students explored basic journalism concepts, including the structure of a news story and the professional routines of journalists. Students from Escuela Viva who showed an interest in journalism visited the university and experienced firsthand a day in a university class alongside the undergraduate students.

They participated in group activities focused on media literacy, working on content that is part of the Media Communication Theory course syllabus.

The Journalism Degree generates great interest and curiosity among children and young people. They become aware of the importance of this education in a democratic society and the responsibility of journalists in shaping public opinion and influencing how we interpret the world around us.
