2025–2026 Academic Year – IRIS UMH Program

The training platform features a completely new design, as in the previous course. Starting Wednesday, October 1, 2025, you will be able to access the contents of the new platform.

Important: On Monday, September 28, the platform will be reset to start anew. Any exercises completed before that date will be deleted. Note that if you started before October 1, previous content may be lost. The course will conclude in May 2026.

To promote and enhance English language training, the Miguel Hernández University (UMH), through its Language Center, has launched the IRIS UMH teaching–learning program.

The main goal is for all students to obtain a B2 – FIRST Certification from Cambridge University (for which the UMH Language Center is an Official Exam Center) or through ACLES upon completion of their undergraduate studies.

This program is also aimed at:

  • Teaching and Research Staff (PDI)

  • Administrative and Service Staff (PAS)

  • Master’s and Doctoral students

  • UMH Alumni community

  • Employees of companies at the UMH Science Park

Important: Weekly online sessions are included.

IRIS UMH Online Courses

  • A2 – At the end, students can take the official Cambridge English A2 exam.

  • B1.1 – Equivalent to the first B1 level.

  • B1.2 – Equivalent to the second B1 level. At the end, students can take the official B1 exam (Preliminary) via Cambridge English or ACLES. IRIS students benefit from reduced fees for the Preliminary Cambridge exam.

  • B2.1 – Equivalent to the first B2 level.

  • B2.2 – Equivalent to the second B2 level. At the end, students can take the official B2 exam (FCE – First) via Cambridge English or ACLES, with discounted fees for IRIS students.

  • C1.1 – Equivalent to the first C1 level.

  • C1.2 – Equivalent to the second C1 level. At the end, students can take the official C1 exam (Advanced) via Cambridge English or ACLES, with discounted fees for IRIS students.

The program offers a structured path for students and staff to develop their English proficiency and achieve internationally recognized certifications at competitive rates.

What is LLUMH?

The LLUMH program aims to promote and enhance the learning and use of Valencian, the official language of the Valencian Community. Its goal is for the entire UMH community to acquire the necessary knowledge and certify their level in Valencian through official institutions (CIEACOVA, Junta Qualificadora de Coneixements en Valencià, or EOI).

LLUMH is a free online training program in Valencian, designed for the UMH community. This initiative, promoted by UMH and managed by its Language Center, provides instruction through an interactive platform.

The program is designed primarily for UMH students, but it is also available to:

  • Teaching and Research Staff (PDI)

  • Administrative and Service Staff (PAS)

  • Master’s and Doctoral students

  • UMH Alumni community

  • Employees of companies at the UMH Science Park
