On March 9, 2026<\/strong>, Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University will hold an activity to commemorate International Women\u2019s Day (March 8)<\/strong>, focused on reflection about equality and social representation<\/strong> through audiovisual media and academic debate. The session will take place in the Aula Magna of the Altabix Building<\/strong>, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.<\/strong>, and is organized by the UMH Equality Unit<\/strong>, in collaboration with the research group Economy, Culture and Gender (ECULGE)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event will begin with an institutional opening ceremony<\/strong>, followed by the screening of the documentary \u201cA\u00fan es tiempo de feminismo\u201d<\/em> (\u201cIt Is Still Time for Feminism\u201d), a 93-minute film directed, written, and produced by Teresa Lozano and Zua M\u00e9ndez (Towanda Rebels)<\/strong>. After the screening, a roundtable discussion<\/strong> will be held with the directors, analyzing the themes addressed in the documentary and opening a space for dialogue with the audience.<\/p>\n

The debate will be moderated by Juana Aznar M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, professor and researcher in the ECULGE group at UMH. The event will conclude with an institutional closing session<\/strong> delivered by Jes\u00fas Mula Grau<\/strong>, professor in the Journalism Degree and member of the UMH Research Center for Gender Studies, and Anastasia T\u00e9llez Infantes<\/strong>, director of the ECULGE research group.<\/p>\n

This activity forms part of the awareness-raising and training initiatives<\/strong> promoted by Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University in the field of equality. It offers Journalism students the opportunity to engage in a critical analysis of social discourses<\/strong> from academic, professional, and audiovisual perspectives.<\/p>\n
