On October 31, the \u201cPitching UMH \u2013 University Audiovisual Talent, Pitching Valencian Universities \u2013 Audiovisual Sector\u201d conference was held in Room 5 \u2013 Rosa Mar\u00eda Calaf, located in the Atzavares Building. The event, organized by the Audiovisual Analysis and Foresight Chair (CAPA UMH), brought together students from various years of the Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Audiovisual Communication and the Double Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism, receiving an excellent turnout and enthusiastic participation.<\/p>\n

The invited professionals, Araceli Isaac (Nakamura Films<\/i>) and Joana Chilet (JC Media<\/i> and B\u00edsilaba<\/i>), provided students with a direct insight into the real workings of the audiovisual industry through pitching<\/i>\u2014the essential tool for presenting and defending projects before professionals, production companies, distributors, television networks, and streaming platforms.<\/p>\n

Araceli Isaac focused her presentation on the preparation and execution of a pitch, sharing her experience in both national and international markets, including her participation in Berlinale Talents<\/i>. She showcased various project dossiers to illustrate how to structure, design, and present a professional proposal. In addition, she led a practical exercise in which students created loglines<\/i> for their own projects to develop their skills in synthesis and public presentation.<\/p>\n

Joana Chilet, on the other hand, offered a comprehensive overview of the Valencian and Spanish audiovisual ecosystem, introducing key events, markets, and professional associations that can help emerging creators advance their careers. During her talk, she also announced that two student series projects\u2014\u201cQu\u00e9 hubiera pasado\u201d<\/i> by Sandra Pastor, a fourth-year Audiovisual Communication student, and \u201cDiario de un piso compartido\u201d<\/i> by Leonardo Guevara, an Audiovisual Communication alumnus\u2014had been invited to participate in the next Talent M\u00e1laga selection. This invitation followed a personal pitch session with Annabelle Aramburu, director of Mafiz<\/i>, the industry section of the M\u00e1laga Film Festival, held during Promercat<\/i> on November 6 in Alfafar, Valencia.<\/p>\n

Through this initiative, CAPA UMH reaffirms its commitment to hands-on training and to strengthening ties between the university and the audiovisual industry, fostering emerging talent development and the professional integration of students.<\/p>\n

This activity forms part of the university\u2019s broader efforts to <\/span>bring students closer to the professional networks and structures of the local audiovisual sector<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
