On Saturday, 27 September<\/strong>, the Atzavares building once again became the meeting point for the UMH Journalism community<\/strong> to celebrate the 20th anniversary<\/strong> of the degree. More than 150 alumni<\/strong> from the 22 cohorts of the Bachelor\u2019s and Undergraduate programs, as well as the Master\u2019s in Innovation in Journalism<\/strong> and the Double Degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communication<\/strong>, participated in a festive day of reunion.<\/p>\n

The program began at 10:00 a.m.<\/strong> with a reception for attendees and a special Radio UMH broadcast<\/strong> titled \u201cTwo Decades of Journalism at UMH\u201d<\/em>. This was followed by a welcome from a dozen professors, marking an emotional start to the day.<\/p>\n

One of the most anticipated moments came next: a coffee and photocall<\/strong>, allowing attendees to catch up, share memories, and reconnect with former classmates and faculty.<\/p>\n

The morning concluded with a roundtable discussion<\/strong>, \u201cThe Future of Journalism\u201d<\/em>, in which five alumni with diverse professional backgrounds analyzed current challenges in the field, offering complementary perspectives from different areas of the industry.<\/p>\n

The event ended with a group photo<\/strong> under the slogan \u201c20 Years of Journalism at UMH\u201d<\/em>, symbolizing the shared journey of students, alumni, and faculty over two decades.<\/p>\n

With this celebration, the UMH Journalism program reinforces its connection with all cohorts since 2005, consolidating an academic and professional community<\/strong> that continues to grow and look toward the future.<\/p>\n
