The Ramon Barnils Group Announces the 11th Edition of the Barnils Award for Investigative Journalism<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the eleventh consecutive year<\/strong>, the Grup de Periodistes Ramon Barnils<\/strong> has launched the Barnils Award for Investigative Journalism<\/strong>, a prize aimed at recognizing and encouraging investigative journalism based on documented and verified information<\/strong>, with the goal of promoting reflection and analysis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The award includes two categories<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    Works published in national media<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Works published in local and regional media<\/strong>, addressing issues and problems affecting the Catalan Countries.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The submission period opened on 23 September<\/strong> and will close on 19 October at 11:59 p.m.<\/strong> Entries can be submitted in any format\u2014print, digital, radio, audiovisual, or multimedia<\/strong>\u2014and must be submitted online through the award\u2019s website. Special consideration will be given to the variety and richness of journalistic investigation techniques<\/strong> employed.<\/p>\n

    Each award carries a prize of \u20ac1,500<\/strong> and is open to both professional journalists and journalism students. Full rules and the submission form are available at: www.grupbarnils.cat\/premibarnils<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    The winners will be announced on 26 November<\/strong> during the traditional awards ceremony at Born CCM in Barcelona<\/strong>, where the names of the jury members will also be revealed.<\/p>\n

    The first edition of the award in 2014<\/strong> revived and updated the prize of the same name, which had been presented by the weekly El Temps<\/em> between 2001 and 2008<\/strong> as part of the Premis Octubre in Valencia.<\/p>\n
