\"Jornadas<\/p>\n

On April 26 and 27, the 11th International Conference on Innovation in Journalism, titled <\/span>\u201cMobile First, Multi-Screen Communication,\u201d<\/span><\/i> will take place in the Aula Magna of the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University (UMH<\/a>) in Elche. The Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences<\/a> and the Department of Social and Human Sciences<\/a> of the UMH organize this event, where professionals and academics will discuss and share their experiences in producing content for mobile devices<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The researcher and professor of Communication Theory at the University of Murcia<\/a>, Juan Miguel Aguado<\/a>, will deliver the opening lecture, addressing the challenges of ubiquitous information. Jo\u00e3o Canavilhas<\/a>, professor at the Universidade da Beira Interior<\/a> (UBI) and member of the Labcom UBI Research Center, will analyze the relationship between journalism and mobility. The conference will also feature Carmela R\u00edos<\/a>, head of social media at <\/span>El Mundo<\/span><\/i><\/a>. A roundtable discussion will follow, featuring Javier Moya<\/a> (<\/span>Don<\/span><\/i><\/a> magazine) and \u00c1ngel Anaya<\/a> (<\/span>Vis-\u00e0-Vis<\/span><\/i><\/a> magazine), both involved in the creation of tablet-exclusive publications.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second day will open with a session on the present and future of mobile radio, led by Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas Espinosa<\/a> (<\/span>El Extrarradio<\/span><\/i><\/a>) and \u00c1lex Garc\u00eda<\/a> (<\/span>Radio Gladys Palmera<\/span><\/i><\/a>). Later, Mill\u00e1n I. Berzosa<\/a>, Google News Lab specialist for Spain and Communications Director at <\/span>Ideas4all<\/span><\/i><\/a>, will give the lecture <\/span>\u201cInnovation and Trending Topics Online in Service of Journalism.\u201d<\/span><\/i> Finally, Ana Ormaechea<\/a> (<\/span>Prodigioso Volc\u00e1n<\/span><\/i><\/a>) will close the conference with a talk about the <\/span>end of the mobile first era<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

As every year, the 8th Ricardo Ortega Journalistic Report Contest Awards<\/a> will also be presented.<\/span><\/p>\n

Registration, Payment, and Fees<\/span><\/h3>\n

Registration and payment for the XI International Journalism Conference must be made through umh.es\/recibos<\/a>. Attendance entitles participants to an official certificate and 0.5 transversal credits at the UMH.<\/span><\/p>\n
